In the birthday celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, the Jamestown Branch of the American Association of University Women and Jamestown Community College will sponsor the 20th Get Within the Game event on Saturday for ladies in fourth through 7th grades. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. Running at 4 p.m., women will rotate in age-appropriate businesses via eight distinctive sports activities at the JCC Physical Education Complex. During these 12 months, the sports activities featured are kayaking, rugby, football, volleyball, music, basketball, self-defense, and dance aerobics. The sports workshops accommodate all skill tiers.
Girls might be supervised by AAUW, university, and high school volunteers, and first resource assistants are available at some point during the event. Registration is constrained to one hundred fifty women, and expenses are $10 according to a woman. The record includes a full day of activities, lunch, and a memento t-blouse.
